Pollinator came to Wise & Hammer in the midst of a time of change in their company. They'd been operating as Leslieville Productions in Toronto, but had recently relocated their main offices to Hamilton.
Feeling that the name and branding they had no longer suited their current growing offerings of film, video and high-end equipment rentals, they decided to embark upon a full revisitation of all of their media, from the website, company name to their assorted marketing materials.
Butterflies are one of the worlds greatest most beautiful pollinators. We took to creating a brand and logotype that had all the elements of a video and film production company, alongside the feeling of flight and beauty. A new brand that lends itself to possible future animations and motion techniques.
So as with any re-branding project, we began simply, putting pencil to paper. Over 20 individual logo comps were created, all working toward our eventual goal of flight and motion. We didn't stop until we felt the branding nailed the original vision shared by Pollinator and Wise & Hammer.
On the website Pollinator needed a simple, effective solution for presenting their portfolio to any and all of their existing and potential clients.
After a decade in business, Pollinator had an extensive collection of great client work. Wise & Hammer thought the site’s portfolio design should keep out of the way of the portfolio pieces.
We created the portfolio with pixel perfection in mind, allowing for a simplified, user-friendly portfolio that only showcased the client work, and not our surrounding design.
Elegant, clean, natural and definitive. The final brand, identity and website we gave Pollinator checked off all the boxes we’d discussed in our initial discovery sessions. The website worked across a variety of media from mobile to desktop. The identity travelled across to all media, highlighting Pollinator as one of Canada’s best film and video production companies.
